Employee Benefits Intern
As an employee benefits intern, I assisted all functions of the department with differing needs on a daily basis. These needs included: extracting and building a contact list for the sales team, collecting data and calculating client-specific fees for account management, auditing clients benefits systems to make sure all data was consistent, and monitoring data feeds from insurance companies in order to report on data files being sent in and out, amongst other things. The internship gave me a great introduction to the employee benefits industry from the broker perspective, and allowed me to really build my excel skills through a multitude of projects from all departments.
