COMMUNITY SERVICE
After volunteering at my local library in 6th grade, I realized how giving up some of my time could greatly impact those around me. I spent my summers volunteering for a summer reading program in which I had the opportunity to read books to young children and set up for the meetings. Later on in high school, I volunteered for GlaxoSmithKline’s Science in the Summer program in which I helped children perform science experiments and took care of daily operations within the program.
Coming to Temple University, I knew that I wanted to join an organization that would foster my interest in giving back. Being in the heart of Philadelphia, the city poses many opportunities to get involved. I joined Alpha Phi Omega a coed community service fraternity in order to to hone this interest of mine. Within Alpha Phi Omega, I have been given the opportunity to volunteer at local soup kitchens, with Bike Philly, the Academy of Natural Sciences as well as other venues and events.
I have been a part of the Membership committee and am also the Social Media chair for the organization.
I am actively seeking opportunities that can benefit the community.
