 IT Intern – (May 2014 – August 2014)

This summer, I had the opportunity to intern for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals in Wilmington, DE. Being a part of the 2014 Summer Internship Program, I  worked with the Information Systems team in an array of tasks from rolling out iPads to their vendors to data migration and streamlining business operations. Additionally, I was able to collaborate with other AZ interns on a summer long intern project that aided daily productivity.

Fox Peer Advisor– (May 2013 -Present)

As a Peer advisor, I have had the opportunity to assist academic advisors in providing new student orientation workshops, advising and  appointments to over 5000 Fox undergraduate students.  Some of my other responsibilities include providing  information and referrals to appropriate University offices and resources. As a peer, I am a mentor for the Future Fox Leaders program.

 Specialist – (May 2013- September 2013)

 I spent my summer working as an Apple specialist at the Quakerbridge Apple Store.  Working for Apple, was unlike any  experience I’ve ever had. As a specialist, I had the opportunity to create relationships with our customers and educate them  about what our products could do. My role allowed me to host technology workshops about our operating systems and devices such OS X and Macs.

  IT Audit Intern– (May 2012- August 2012)

This past summer, I had the opportunity to work as an IT audit intern in the Business Assurance and Advisory Services (BAAS) department at Charming Shoppes, Inc. As an intern , some of my tasks consisted of  performing PCI compliance testing and  SOX 404 controls testing on general computer controls focusing on system access. Throughout my internship, I had the opportunity to work on various tasks and learn about more than just IT audit. My other responsibilities ranged from helping the internal audit team with the tie out of the Forms 10-K and 10-Q  to assisting  in physical inventory audits of one of the company’s retail stores. In addition to working with the internal  audit team, I had the opportunity to collaborate  with interns from various departments to complete a competitive market analysis of Catherine’s jewelry. My experience was very rewarding as I learned a great deal about IT audit and the business as a whole.

Student Coordinator– (March 2012)

 During my spring break , I had the privilege of working as a student coordinator for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s s Securities Industry Institute (SII)  at the University of Pennsylvania. The SII conference is held every year and is a leadership development program for securities industry professionals. As a student coordinator my responsibilities consisted of the facilitation of proper registration and class materials for lecture classes throughout the campus as well as providing directional assistance to over 800 participants. The most rewarding part of my experience at the SII conference was listening to  industry lectures.  The lectures gave me an insight into an unfamiliar industry and was a valuable learning experience.

 Sales Associate– (October 2011- January 2012)

The Limited Stores is a women’s clothing retailer of business professional and business casual attire, including suits, formal wear, and other accessories. As a holiday sales associate, I was responsible for greeting our customers and  assisting with styling of business professional attire.

  Merchandise Hostess– (May 2011 – September 2011)

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment consists of 10 family oriented theme parks which strive to create memorable experiences for their guests. Sesame place is a theme park based off of the popular children’s show Sesame Street and aims to bring the show to life through performances and other attractions.  As a merchandise hostess,  my responsibilities consisted of providing quality customer service and sales for over 10,000 guests daily by selling Sesame Place merchandise. I also worked outside of our stores and assisted in the rentals of over 350 strollers and 850 lockers per day.

  Summer Volunteer– (June 2004- August 2010)

Every summer for 6 years, I had the chance to volunteer at my local library for both the summer reading programs and for GlaxoSmithKline’s Science In the Summer program.  In the summer reading programs, I read to children and helped  run their weekly meetings. I updated  the children’s reading logs on excel and performed other operational tasks. I also had the opportunity to volunteer for GlaxoSmithKline where I helped children perform science projects and managed registration. This was my first experience volunteering and I instantly loved it.  The most rewarding part of my experience was seeing the impact I had made by helping the children learn something new.
