WordPress Flash Research Paper
By implementing WordPress, our company could save $2,451,000over the course of three years. WordPress is a blogging and a full content management system, that would aid our developers in Web Development. By implementing this web-development aid we could reduce the time spent developing application by 75%, reducing salary expenses by 42%
WordPress began as a blogging tool that then developed into a full content management system meaning that meaning that in addition to blogging, users can add, edit, and manage a website through thousands of different plugins and widgets. WordPress is also easy for non-technical people to understand because you don’t have to write any code in order to make a functioning website. This makes websites faster to develop because time spent on formatting can be greatly reduced. Other advantages include the ability to edit anywhere, which is possible due to WordPress being browser-based and it is easy for search engines to read and index the site due to its code being simple and clean (source 3).
By investing in WordPress, our company would save $2,451,000. Because the workload of the developers would be reduced by 75%, we would only need 3 traditional developers, and about 2 WordPress developers. WordPress would cost us $174,000 over 3 years. (Figures 1,2) However, by reducing the need from 12 developers to 5 we would see a net benefit of 2,451,000 over 3 years.
