Summer 2015 Penn Medicine
Over the summer I worked closely with the project management department for Penn Medicine. As the lead technician for End User Desktop support, I facilitated resources for three new projects. One of these projects was Penn Medicine University City 9th floor expansion. This required deploying over 250 Epic EMR devices for Penn Family Medicine. My role required training resources and allocating specific tasks throughout the month to deploy and troubleshoot these devices before active patient care. Once the Epic testing was successful, I continued support for any technical or hardware issues in the practice. My experience with working projects has led me to many connections to build a stronger network. I will be meeting with the head of the PMO to discuss becoming a project manager for IT infrastructure or application project management once I graduate.
