Career Objectives
Being an MIS (Management in Information Services) major has helped me develop a more focused view of what I plan to accomplish in life. To say I want to finish my career at any level would be limiting the possibilities. However, I do have high aspirations and to achieve these goals in life I plan to keep learning and working toward a path that will keep me moving forward. Technology can generate an unlimited amount of benefits and requires people constantly pushing it to new depths. I plan to develop the necessary skills to help manage and generate these changes. I have a great interest in managing people along with developing relationships with customers and co-workers and this has led me to pursue a degree in management. From my experience I have found that the most valuable skill in the work place is communication, it is needed everyday on every level of the business structure and any miscommunication can cost time and money. I am constantly working on new ways to improve my communication skills for all verbal, nonverbal, and written methods of communication. Management involves various aspects of business, communication aside, and to understand and utilize these different attributes can lead me to a successful career not only in technology but in any business environment.
