WordPress Ecommerce: WooCommerce
WordPress – Woocommerce
While working on my UX design project, I realized I wanted to work with features that were cool and useful for my website. LinkedIn offers good courses about WordPress, therefore I watched and followed different videos about plugins and code that could be added to my WordPress theme. I focused on Woocommerce because my UX project was for an e-commerce website. Doing this extra learning outside of class helped me to better deal with the challenges I faced while building the website. WordPress have so many moving parts that learning more deeply how each part works and how those pieces interact with each other helped me to be more proactive.
Some of the things I learned:
- Adding products, products gallery and data
- How to add plugins and use them in an effective way
- Learned how to categorize and group products
- Customized my theme and add shipping and payment options
- Working with the WooCommerce mobile app
