West Shore Country Club

I am an avid golfer and have been my entire life so, for my first job I decided there would be no better place for me to work than at the local private club. The West Shore Country Club is a private golf and tennis club with over 750 members. I started there during my sophomore year in high school. I kept that job for five years, concluding in the summer before my junior year in college. During my years at the club I was employed solely by the Pro Shop. I reported directly to the head golf professional. The tasks that I handled at the club involved the cleaning and maintaining of over 70 golf carts and over 200 member golf bags.  I was responsible for picking up the members as they arrived from the club and helping to prepare them in anyway I could for their upcoming round. The club also held many different private charity tournaments that included over 250 golfers. I was in charge of the organization of the golf carts on these big tournament days. The staff were then required to pick up the members bags from their cars and place them onto the correct cart corresponding with the members name.

The one thing that I loved about this job was that I was able to be at work at early hours in the morning. My shifts would typically start at 6 am and end at 1 pm. This was great because I would be done working and have the rest of the day to enjoy. But my enjoyment usually came with going to my other job. I love hard work and I pride myself on this characteristic.
