Digital Asset Management System Intern
My time working at CHOP was incredibly rewarding and gave me real experience working with technology in a huge organization. I was there for the integration of the new DAM (Digital Asset Management System) and sat in on many meetings with a development vendor and some analysts and learned a lot about all that went into creating a new DAM from scratch and all of the problems with the old one. I worked a lot with taking data from the old system and putting them into multiple, large spreadsheets to be sent to the new vendor.
CHOP also worked towards moving their consents from a physical form to an online format using docusign. I was given the opportunity to run through docusign and demo different formats while correcting errors and adding things we discussed in meetings. I would use XML for the signage document/form and HTML for the e-mail confirmation.
I worked a lot with uploading consents into the DAM and tagging them to appropriate patients, as well as working independently in the DAM to tag different shoots so that the marketing department could easily find what they were looking for.
