Mentorship Program
This semester, for the first time, I had the honor of mentoring two students for the Spring 2019 semester. The program focused on helping students who are new to the program and/or AIS and gain support and tips from those who have experience with it. My job was to take the responsibility of two students and make sure that their experience with AIS/MIS is smooth and exciting as the semester goes on. One thing I learned is how beneficial this program is to the MIS community. I was able to give them insights and tips whether that is job searching, where to start and tips on how to succeed class which I had to learn by myself when I first started. Not only is this program helpful, but you also build a close relationship with the students and be able to broaden who you meet in the MIS community. I enjoyed the experience I had with this program and hope it continues and grows in the future for other MIS students.
