Professional Development
AIS Active member:
Being part of AIS has been a huge part of my experience as an MIS student at Temple. AIS provide members with many opportunities ranging from professional development to networking. One of the great things about MIS is that they have a speaker series where they invite experienced industry professionals to come and speak to AIS members. My involvement in AIS has been a pivotal part on my professional development.
Temple University 2018 Data Analytics Challenge:
In this competition, my team and I analyzed AmerisourceBergen data to demonstrate the leakage within the pharmaceutical industry. We used excel to analyze the data set, finding that certain drug types such as blood thinners were causing leakage. As a student who is interested in data analytics, this challenge was a great experience.
Personal Branding Workshop:
In this workshop we learned how to effectively create a brand that will support you in you professional life. We learned how to leverage all of the various social media platforms along with in person interactions to portray yourself in a professional and positive light.
