LinkedIn Learning – Java Streams and Lambdas

Details: This was a learning course hosted on LinkedIn Learning which discussed topics related to Java lambdas and streams.
Learned: All of the material in this course was new to me and there was a lot to be learned. The most interesting thing learned for me though is the ways in which Java can be used very similarly to Python. Being able to access libraries and use Java as a method for data manipulation was all new and it demonstrated new potential methods for me to use rather than always Python.
Relation to Goals: This was an interesting course to take for my goals because although I’m unsure how much Java will pop up in my future careers, it helped show ways that Java can be manipulated to be used for tasks that I would not have normally used it for by creating these functional interfaces, similar to Python.
