Volunteering Event to prep for the IT Awards
The day before the 16th annual IT awards, I volunteered to help assist in putting together name tags for an estimated 513 attendees. This gave me an opportunity to work with the MIS department and also got to talk with other students to get to know them as we worked to put name tags together. These volunteer events are interesting to MIS students because it is an opportunity to gain MIS accomplishment points and also meet other students who are in a very similar career path. I got to put in time for a very important event and also felt accomplished because all of the tags that people wore at the IT awards were made and ordered by me.
