Activities and Awards
Dean’s List
This honor yields top 16% of GPAs for a specific school or college within a university. I received the award in both Fall 2013 as an undeclared major and Fall 2014 as an MIS major with a GPA of 3.67.
Association for Information Systems (AIS)
AIS (Association for Information Systems) serves as a student professional organization, open to any Temple University student interested in a Management Information Systems-related career. AIS offers students many opportunities to promote the study and practice of management information systems including professional development, social, and community activities.
National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS)
The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is the honor society for high achieving first- and second-year college students, who are in the top 20 percent of their class with a 3.4 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
I am the Vice President of PACE within this organization. The NSCS Planning to Achieve Collegiate Excellence (PACE) Program empowers college students at NSCS chapters across the country to create local programs with a school or organization; this partnership helps increase the likelihood that those students graduate from high school and are effectively prepared for college.
Peer Mentor at Temple University
As a peer mentor who was formerly undeclared, I now share my own college experiences to undeclared freshmen students and assist them with the challenges associated with the transition into their first year of college. Through this pilot program, we hope to build a unique way for the mentors and new undeclared students to interact and build a community on campus.
