Biography

I am 38 years old and was born and raised in North Philadelphia. I was educated in the Philadelphia Public schools and received a great education.

I received my associates degree from Community College of Philadelphia and my bachelors from Temple University. I am currently enrolled in graduate school at Temple.

I enjoy reading, shopping, traveling and giving back to my community with the women from Mahogany Philly. I volunteered with the group at Dress for Success. An organization that helps women transition back into the work force by providing them professional attire. Also Co-founder of Young Ladies Emerging in Atlanta, Georgia. We wanted to assist in the development of at risk girls in the community. Instill in them self esteem and self love, the importance of a good education so they can achieve their dreams and goals. I taught Sunday School at Second Mennonite Church for two years. One of my aspirations is to teach people in my community the importance of a nutritious and healthy  diet and how to live a healthy lifestyle to combat the health issues that plague our community.
