Leadership Statement

My leadership personality would be a servant leader. Northouse 2013 states servant leadership begins with the natural feeling that one has to serve, to serve first. Servant leaders are ethical and lead in ways that serve the greater good of the organization, community and society at large (Northouse 2013, p. 219).

 

The quote that I can identify with is by Cesar Chavez:

“We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community…Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own.”
