M. Mark Mendel, LTD
The past two summers and winter breaks, I worked at M. Mark Mendel LTD. as office support. The office was located on Locust St. in Philadelphia, however, during my employment the firm relocated to Media. The family practice firm specializes in personal injury, particularly medical malpractice. This was a fantastic experience that gave me insights into how to think like a lawyer and experience the wide spectrum of disciplines and subject matters that law encompasses.
During my time at M. Mark Mendel, I felt I made an important contribution to expediting their business processes and ensuring that events were documented accurately. Through attendance of depositions, hearings, and trials, I reviewed and maintained legal documents for use and distribution. Also, through communication with insurance companies, physician’s offices, and other attorneys and clients, I was able to maintain relevant paperwork in order to develop case information further.
The following were some of my duties at the firm:
- Provided support to clients by organizing and maintaining current files.
- Maintained information on computerized client database.
- Researched and attended depositions and trials.
