Loehmann’s
The above pictures were taken during our team’s last days in the store. We spent three full days packaging merchandise to be relocated to other branches and cleaning the spacious storefront.
In 2010, during my senior year of High School, I worked at Loehmann’s as a sales associate. Loehmann’s is a discount designer clothing retailer that was located in Drexel Hill, PA. During my time there, I developed sales and customer service skills. Unfortunately, my employment there was brief due to the company’s Chapter 11 filing in November 2010. The announcement of the bankruptcy arranged for the permanent shut-down of our Drexel Hill branch.
The following were some of my duties at the store:
- Assisted 80+ customers on a daily basis with checkout and shopping needs.
- Counted incoming and outgoing merchandise in women’s fitting room while assisting customers with try-on.
- Created a catalog of testers for the store’s perfume stock to help increase sales.
- Restocked merchandise weekly and maintained the appearance and cleanliness of the store.
