The Gartner Top Strategic Technology Trends for 2021
The event was hosted by Gartner and the speaker was David Cearley who is a distinguished VP analyst.
The topic of the event wast mostly about how technology trends have the potential to be changed ant some challenges related to them. Innovation and transformation were the key words during the presentation. It was interesting to see how some technological developments can affect good or bad way to business organizations. For me, the most interesting thing was how IT department can’t avoid some risk and challenges if they want to provide successful technology to its business.
I learned lots of new terms and informations about the IT department and available technologies. I heard similar terms as we learned in the class such as cloud services and the design processes.
The terms such as: people centricity, location independence and resilient delivery. Location independency and the importance of the cybersecurity was really important and fun to listen. My career focused has shifted cybersecurity during this semester and my willing to go the master schools for cybersecurity made me pay lots of attention during this section.
The behavioral process was something also really new to me because complexity of process surprised me and COVID-19 requirements even affected the process more.
The most important thing I’ll take from the presentation is the importance and the pressure on the IT specialist, because every single new development has to go through lots of process and in order to be successful working with them those specialist has to be cautious about security and development.
