Cybersecurity Awareness: Cybersecurity Terminology
Through this LinkedIn Learning course, I gained a foundational understanding of cybersecurity terminology and concepts. I found the information to be incredibly useful for my upcoming position as an Information Security intern. Learning about the roles of red, blue, and purple teams has clarified how security professionals simulate attacks, defend against them, and collaborate to improve overall security. Understanding the various types of adversaries has made it clear how different attackers, such as hackers or insiders, pose distinct threats to organizations.
The course also provided insight into how network controls are used to protect systems and data from external threats, as well as the types of technical risks and threats that can undermine security. This knowledge will help me make informed decisions regarding security protocols, ensuring that I can contribute to creating safer and more secure digital environments.
