PwC Case Competition

We worked in a team of four to deliver the suggestion for a case created by PwC. We submitted an executive report and gave a 10-minute presentation.

The case included the request from PwC customer, Country\\\’s Best General Stores , asking team members to give recommendations for the company\’s expansion and cost reduction efforts. Country\’s Best General Stores have plans to expansion in the Midwest withan eye to eventually opening stores in the Southern U.S. The client also wanted to implement automation within the store operations.

We were provided with the client\’s database, financial statements, store locations, and we needed to do market research for competitors analysis in order to come to the conclusion.

By analyzing Country’s Best in comparison to its competitors, we base our solution off of success regarding: asset management, fuel and non-fuel revenue, and demographic and geographic factors. We also compared three different solutions, zero, minimal, and full automation, and we evaluated our decisions to align with Country\\\’s Best company values.

Our final recommendation for Country\’s Best is to implement full automation in combination with tactical remodeling and a cash-only policy for under $5 purchases to support Country\’s Best expansion.
