Risk Advisory Intern
- I was in charge of identifying and analysing strategical, operational, financial and cyber risks for the clients. I also helped prepare weekly educational mini-series that were sent out to potential clients. I helped plan an internal auditing fieldwork for one of Deloitte’s client.
- I worked closely with few banks to analyse their strategic and operational risks. I was heavily involved in setting a proposal for a client who is trying to transition from manual to a digital platform. I helped create proposal deck which discussed about appropriate cyber risks and controls for the client and their objectives for adopting a digital platform. As well, I prepared the weekly mini-series based on scorecards and insurance. I performed research on related articles on these two different topics, created infographics and prepared short explanations based on these topics. I was apart of internal audit fieldwork planning for a client where I helped out plan what questions should be asked to whom, what areas to inspect and what further steps should be taken.
- I worked closely with a cyber risk manager where I learned a lot of cybersecurity, what risks can happen and what metrics should be taken on this. As well, being a finance major, I learnt about financial risks related to banks and the controls that could be set. I learned to read financial statements and got hands-on experience in building some of them.
