AIS Mentorship Program
FALL ‘19
The AIS Mentorship Program helped me get valuable advice, improve my communication skills, expand my knowledge, and build my network. One of the best things about the AIS mentorship program was the peer to peer mentoring. It was very encouraging to have someone who has also experienced the same challenges and problems. I enjoyed learning from new and different perspectives. My mentor was there to answer all of my questions throughout the semester and even helped me to revise my resume. I hope to continue to further advance my career through the AIS mentorship program in the upcoming semesters.
SPRING ‘20
This semester, the AIS Mentorship Program allowed me to expand the friendships I made last semester. I met individuals who not only share similar goals as me but also help guide some of my decisions. Despite the current situation and having to communicate remotely, my mentor was always there to help me with any problems I had during the semester. She continued to share her own personal insights and experiences which created a very comfortable environment for me. As a mentee, I recognized the benefits of a professional and personal development through my mentor and the AIS Mentorship program. I hope to share the knowledge I gained to my own mentee next semester when I’m a mentor.
