Scholarship awarded to an incoming MIS student with a cumulative GPA above 3.7 who demonstrates exceptional potential achievement and accomplishment.
I am a member of the National Honors Fraternity, Phi Sigma Pi. This co-educational Fraternity revolves around the ideals of the tripod representing scholarship, fellowship,and leadership. Phi Sigma Pi is a wonderful organization focused on academic, social, and service goals. I became a member of Phi Sigma Pi’s Temple University chapter (Alpha Lambda) the first semester of my sophomore year. I currently hold the leadership position of fundraising chair. I am responsible for raising money for our Fraternity and our philanthropy Teach for America. My position requires very good organizational and people skills. I am very dedicated to this organization and spend a large amount of my time involving myself in it. I am also a member of AIS, Temple Universities Association for Information systems. This student professional organization provides students with experience and countless opportunities focusing on Management Information Systems. They hold workshops and meetings weekly in order to meet business professionals in the IT field. AIS also conducts IT services for real life clients. I am also a member of NSCS the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. NSCS is an organization that revolves around high achieving students.
