About the Research Project
- The Spotted Lanternfly VIP Project is a research collaboration between Drexel’s College of Engineering and the Academy of Natural Sciences aimed at creating image-processing algorithms using color photos and photos taken by an IR camera.
- An enriching process to take on as the research consisted of new and undiscovered material which required reliable delivery of data to be used in the future.
My Role
- Volunteered and assisted in Drexel University’s Spotted Lanternfly VIP project that attempted to create image-processing algorithms based on photos of spotted lanternfly egg masses.
- Collected samples and/or images of spotted lanternfly egg masses that would be used in the project.
