HTTP Essential Training

This LinkedinLearning focuses on HTTP and HTTP protocols. HTTP stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol. Whenever you take action on the web, the HTTP protocol sends and receives requests and responses within browsers and servers. One major protocol is that it is human readable and plain language. We also learn about different types of HTTP such as HTTPS and HTTP/2 (more faster and secure). Additionally, we learn more about the terminology when it comes to HTTP. This includes TCP. TCP stands for Transmission Control Protocol and is one of the primary protocols for the internet. We also learn about IP which is Internet Protocol. We also learn about proxy which is either a software or hardware service, that acts as the middle man between client side and server side. Another interesting topic covered is the anatomy of the URL and how they all fit together. Furthermore, we learn about HTTP headers. HTTP protocol is stateless which means they don’t store information. This is what the headers are for. It’s a name value pair that is human readable and separated by colons to pass information between client side and server side.
