Is AI the Key to Greater Software Development Productivity?
This activity is in regards to the importance and impact to GenAI. This event was sponsored by Gartner and my role was a viewer. Th webinar starts off with how GenAI can boost productivity by using the SPACE framework. This includes satisfaction and well-being, performance, activity, communication and collaboration and efficiency and flow. We learn that develops and already use GenA to assist with coding and documentation. Using GenAI is only productive when time is being saved. Developers can only benefit from GenAI if they are able to utilize and support whatever the results from GenAI are. GenAI is helpful because it can take over repetitive tasks such as creating documentation. Not only are developers using GenAI, so are users and vendors for enhancements or assistance. Some key points for those who lead within the software engineering space is to drive business value, retain talent and improve productivity and experience.
