Website creator and IT managment
During my time at Konopelski Meats, I was given the main position of web creator. I was assigned to create a full-functioning website for this company on the Shopify website. To see what I accomplished please visit Konopelskimeats.com, I installed multiple plugins and worked with third-party individuals to see how shipping and other aspects of the website would run. The company is not ready to sell products yet, however, the entire website is functional and ready for use. Also whenever there was an issue with the website I would be the first to call. For example, there was an issue with the newsletter list for customers, so I contacted Shopify and resolved the issue. During my time at Konopelski Meats, I’ve gained a better understanding of Shopify and all it has to offer. During this semester I also was taking User Experience which helped greatly when it came to building the website. I used my knowledge of affordances, signifiers, and the rest of the Norman terms to create the best website I could. As an MIS major there are so many different occupations one can go after, and after my time working for Konopelski Meats I have a new interest in Web design and management. I know that whatever I do moving forward is because of my experience at Konopelski Meats this past semester.
