ASCM Case Competition

- Details of the activity (e.g., where, when): I participated in this case competition over the course of November with a virtual presentation on November 19th.
- What you expect to learn: I learned real-world examples of the Supply Chain industry and shifts because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was also able to further develop soft skills such as business etiquette in a virtual setting, communication, and collaboration skills. With the competition came networking opportunities with professionals and furthering relationships with other students from various universities.
- How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals: As a Supply Chain major this directly relates to my major because I saw the movement of goods from an operational standpoint. I was also able to track company financial data and map this data to forecast future trends. This directly applies to some of the finance courses I am taking since the valuation involved looking at the company\’s Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows.
