Experience

June 2019 – August 2019

Service Agent, Enterprise Rent-A-Car

As a service agent at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, I was tasked with a variety of responsibilities from day to day. These included making sure cars were clean and that important measures such as tire pressure and oil quality were up to par to ensure our renters’ safety. I also had to pick up and drop off customers in a safe and timely manner, as well as move cars from branch to branch when reservations relied on it. I also would be tasked with making and changing reservations throughout the day. This required me to learn the company’s reservation management system as well as find out the best way to maximize reservations and profits for the branch, while still being able to come through for all of our customers. All of these tasks greatly increased both my customer service and time management skills, and this was reflected in our branches numbers. Our customer service scores were in the top 3 in our region, as was our fleet utilization which was rare for a branch as small as ours.

Assistant Supervisor, Culinary Operations, Sesame Place

April 2016 – August 2019

As an Assistant Supervisor in Sesame Place’s culinary department, I was tasked with ensuring that all aspects of our restaurant operated smoothly. This included many responsibilities, including managing and verifying employee’s hours. This would not only include making schedules for the week and ensuring hours were evenly distributed, but also knowing when people could not be scheduled. This also included the task of sending people home on slower days, while still making sure there were enough employees to close. Another aspect of my job was making sure all of the food was safe which in turn meant being sure that all employees preparing food not only were taught but also adhered to all of the company’s food safety standards. My job also required me to manage the inventory for both food and other supplies such as utensils and cleaning products. Not only would I take inventory on a daily basis, but also order the correct amount based on projected visitors to the park. This was my first experience in any kind of management role, and I feel it went well. Our restaurant was only in its first year of operation when I started and it immediately became one of the most popular at Sesame Place.
