MuleSoft: Easing The Pains of SAP S/4HANA Transformations
The event is “MuleSoft: Easing The Pains of SAP S/4HANA Transformations”. It started at 11:am and ended at 12:00pm. This was an online webinar. The leaders were: Raul Jimenez (Head of Digital Innovation at Sika), Marc Schindler (MuleSoft Solution Engineer Director at Salesforce), and Denise Flueckiger (MuleSoft Lead Solution Engineer at Salesforce). The main objectives were to explain: how to accelerate data transfer with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, how to avoid implementation pitfalls, how to complete projects on time, on budget, and with the highest quality. All this covers everything from the remodeling of business processes to the process of data integration. SAP main objective should be to motivate customer’s to refurbish their current ERP installation and to unleash innovation and foster time to market. MuleSoft’s approach to API technology has 3 layers, experience, process, and system. This brings less risk to people’s projects and smooths the process. MuleSoft is able to connect to SAP and NonSAP systems. The biggest issues that are faced in the industry today are: increasing demands for transformation, customer experience, evolving cybersecurity (date privacy threats), advancing data opportunities, evolving the enterprise cloud strategy, geopolitical impacts on technology, supply chain interruptions, cost containment, and too much competition. Sika MuleSoft’s integration uses a decentralized version where control and decision making are distributed across multiple nodes. Unlocking the value integration platform boosts the agility with seamless integrations across multiple internal and external applications. The center for enablement starts with a Team leader, project managers, integration architect, and then a DevOPs leader. MuleSft mitigates SAP challenges by providing a flexible, composable, and tailored integration platforms. This helped me get an idea on what MuleSoft does for SAP and how we can utilize in our daily lives. This was something I was not familiar with and will definitely keep me throughout my career.
