Work Experience
When I turned 14 years old I wasted no time in finding a Job. I was always taught that if you want to make money you have to work hard for it. The first job I ever had was at a small family-owned restaurant called the Promenade Family Dining. I started as a Busboy and worked my way up to a Host and then to Waiter within about two and a half years of working there. Before I knew it the years pasted by and I was graduating High School, still working at the same restaurant. Upon returning home for summer break from my first year of college I found myself returning to work at the restaurant. However, instead of working out on the floor I transitioned to working in the office helping out with IT. I have done a lot of tech support for the business, and last summer (2014) I even worked on a rebranding project for the restaurant. Throughout my 8 years working at this establishment I have earned a lot of experience and skills that I will take with me to the corporate setting. I have also formed a great bond with the owners and can always look to go to them for help or advice.
During the summer of 2014 I picked up a second job to go along with the restaurant job.
At Enterprise Rent-A-Car I work as a Vehicle Service Agent. Some of my job responsibilities include preparing vehicles for customer rentals, picking up/dropping off customers at designated locations, inspecting rental cars, and recording vehicle information. When I first started working at Enterprise I enjoyed the job right away. From the staff to the job tasks I enjoy working for the company and I have learned a lot along the way. Working for one of the largest private companies in the world such as Enterprise really gave me a better understanding of the corporate environment. I have gained excellent customer service, communication, and team-work skills in the half a year I have been working there.
