Data Visualization Project – Data Science (MIS 0855)
As part of my Data Science course in Fall 2019, I was instructed to pick a relevant question to try and answer through data analysis. The question my group and I chose was, “How do different sources of revenue affect average test scores of public schools in the United States?”. We saw this as an opportunity to solve the problem of why test scores vary across the country. Using data from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), the U.S. Census Bureau, and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) for public schools, we were able to dig deeper into that question and find potential answers. Below, you can learn more about the project and our final conclusions.
