Since April 2017, I’ve been working at Momentum Digital marketing agency in Northern Liberties as a Social Media Marketing Consultant. I began as an unpaid intern but was quickly brought on part-time as a paid associate. There wasn’t really any established social media management offerings at the company before I arrived, so I worked hard to create a framework for future social media interns and associates to build upon.
Some of my duties include:
• Administer the creation, and publishing of original, high-quality content across social media channels
• Implement content editorial calendars to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns
• Utilize social media strategies to ensure the right content is being seen by the people on the right medium at the right time
• Engage and work closely with company photographers and graphic designers to create compelling content
Momentum Digital is a digital marketing agency started in 2015. Our core offerings include PPC, web development, SEO, and social media management. We’re a small company with only around 15 employees.
I learned a great deal in this role and continue to learn more each day. My biggest takeaway was reinforcing my learning agility. Since my department was very underdeveloped, I had to take on a leadership role to lay down the groundwork and develop operating procedures for how we’d manage clients’ social media.
