Comcast Cable Corporation
In the summer of 2014, I interned with the Procurement division of Comcast Cable Corporation, dealing, primarily, with fleet management. My job duties were as follows:
- Reviewed all fleet acquisition costs over the last 15 months to document total end to end vehicle acquisition cost.
- Assisted in the analysis of Comcast’s fleet usage, maintenance costs, and fuel spend.
- Set up and compiled consistent fleet reporting for all 8 divisions of Comcast Corporation, including inventory reports, budget vs. actual spend, and fuel and maintenance spend reports.
- Conducted systems testing for the Oracle 11i to R12 conversion.
- Reviewed and reported on existing contracts between Comcast Cable and various Vendors, while correcting payment terms, resulting in large scale dollar savings.
- Created reporting of vendor request for quote (RFQ) analysis in order for management to evaluate supplier efficiencies and cost savings
