AIS Founding Chapter

Director of Corporate Relations, April 2015 – Present
Marketing Committee, December 2014 – April 2015
Member, September 2014 – Present

Association of Information Systems (AIS) is one of the most active and profound Student Professional Organizations, not only at Temple University, but also throughout the world, giving students who have a passion for information systems a chance to expand their network and excel their knowledge past the standard academic curriculum. Temple AIS has won awards in numerous competitions throughout the nation, specifically the #1 spot in the AIS student chapter national conference for the past 3 consecutive years, along with the Outstanding Chapter award for 3 consecutive years.

Currently, I am the Director of Corporate Relations for AIS.  My responsibility is to bring in guest speakers each week from companies looking to recruit members of the organization. I plan between 15-20 meetings for both the Fall & Spring semesters, overseeing the entire planning process from booking to follow-up.

Hillel at Temple University

President of Owls for Israel, December 2015 – Present
Chair of Israel Programs, December 2015 – Present

Hillel, being the largest Jewish organization in the world, is the foundation for Jewish life on campus.

As Israel Chair and President of Owls for Israel, I oversee all of Hillel’s Israel-related programming. I have developed a carefully designed operating strategy that peacefully detracts attention from anti-Israel sentiment on campus while educating both apathetic and previously-engaged students about Israeli culture.  Some examples of events I have planned include pizza-and-politics (political discussions),  a happy birthday party for Israel, a memorial ceremony, bake sale fundraisers for nonprofits, and influential speaker sessions.

I currently assist the Vice President in overseeing the Fraternity’s minor board (PR, Fundraising, Community Service, etc.). I have represented our chapter to large outside conferences, such as AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington, DC.

YC

Advisor for the Eastern Pennsylvania Region, August 2014 – Present
National Executive Vice President, August 2012 – August 2013

Young Judaea is a youth movement with the five core values of Jewish Identity and Engagement, Pluralism, Zionism, Leadership Development, and Social Activism. Young Judaea runs five summer camps across the country, national, regional, and local programs year-round across the country, and a number of year-round and summer programs in Israel.

I was elected to the position of National Vice President at Young Judaea’s National Midwinter Convention in February 2012.
I assisted in managing a five-person executive board who oversaw the operations of the movement of over 2000 teenagers across the country.

I was responsible for mentoring six Vice Presidents in different regions. I helped them become more effective Vice Presidents by assisting them with managing fundraising, budgeting, membership, and programming efforts. I had weekly one-on-ones with each of them, and every other month we would have a conference call between all of the Vice Presidents.

Together as an executive board, we planned and ran two conventions, National Midwinter Convention (February 2013) & National Summer Convention (August 2013), both with attendance near 100 participants. My role in the planning of the conventions included overseeing all logistical operations during the convention, recruitment efforts, amending the movement’s constitution, and putting together the convention program. Prior to and during National Midwinter Convention, I was responsible for overseeing the election process of the incoming national executive board, an intense written and verbal application process which began months before the convention.

I currently serve as the Advisor for the Eastern Pennsylvania region, where I oversee a regional board of six, and advise them on how to improve the quality of the programs they run, and on outreach efforts.
