Homage.it (“Homage”) is a mobile application startup company based out of Google’s offices in Tel Aviv, Israel. The native iOS application, written in Objective C, uses green screen technology to produce home videos through simple user-friendly steps.

My internship started as the application was launching in the App Store. I contributed to preparing the iOS application for lunch by tracking competitor activity, optimizing keywords for search engine optimization, and developing a strategic plan for marketing and product enhancement. My biggest project was creating a visual dashboard on MixPanel using funnel and segmentation analysis, and custom formulas to allow for more simple and efficient performance data analytics. This was accomplished by integrating Mixpannel’s API into the application’s code, which renders an automatic change in output within a set timeframe.

This internship exposed me to the high-tech business world through the lens of the “Startup Nation’s” capital, the blooming city of Tel Aviv. It re-affirmed my interest in pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems, with hopes of one day being an influential part of the the high-tech business world.
