Advanced Risk and Compliance Analytics Solutions (ARCAS) Advance Intern
I spent the summer of 2016 as an Advance intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the ARCA practice.
What is ARCA?
PwC’s Advanced Risk and Compliance Analytics practice, formally Data Assurance, provides clients with unique solutions to help business understand and leverage its data. My team had a diverse range of talents and skills to provide solutions that were strategic, innovative, and compliant. Some of the solutions ARCA offers include internal audit, dashboard design, and predictive analytics.

National Intern Data Competition
At the end of the internship, all of the PwC ARCA interns participated in a National Intern Data Competition. The guidelines of the competition were to analyze previous ARCA intern data and present a video solution to help the firm better predict which interns will accept a full-time offer. We were put into groups of five based on our market location, and given a spreadsheet with three years of intern data from the New York Metro office. The data included the students name, university, major, year of the internship, and whether or not they accepted a full-time offer. Our final deliverable was entitled the PwC Internal Talent Acceptance Predictor (ITAP) which consisted of a four minute video, a Tableau dashboard, a decision tree, and a report that explained the process we took to conduct the predictive analysis. Every PwC employee was given the opportunity to review the videos and vote for the best one, and our video won first place! I am so honored to have worked with such talented individuals on this project.

Throughout the internship, I had the opportunity to participate in numerous technological trainings referred to as Lunch and Learns. Some of the skills I developed this summer are:
