Earlier in life I’ve found Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to be a wonderful way to spend time, stay in shape, ease stress, and work on self-defense. I have roughly 6 years of experience in the sport and while practicing casually I’ve earned a blue belt, which is currently my most painful accomplishment in life. While practicing BJJ I’ve also rounded out my martial arts experience by picking up some judo, kickboxing, and Muay Thai.
When I’m not intentionally hurting myself in the gym and the weather is cooperative, I enjoy taking my motorcycle for long rides through scenic areas. It is a 2007 Honda VTX1800 that I’ve purchased myself, and I guess you can call it my “baby” with the way I maintain it (which is a hobby all its own). My second favorite ride would be my bicycle, which I enjoy taking on long trips through the Schuylkill River Trail and other outdoorsy areas.
Finally, when I feel like getting aggravated, I’ll sit down (while occasionally jumping up) and watch an Eagles or Sixers game. I’m fairly certain it’s worse for my health than the martial arts, but I can’t help but support the local teams. Trust the Process.
