Demystifying Cyber Insurance
The Webinar “Demystifying Cyber Insurance” was hosted by Paul Needle, who serves as a Senior Vice President, Cyber Treaty Underwriter from Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. This webinar was helpful in understanding the basics of cyber insurance, why it is useful, how it works and critical components of the process both a a buyer and as a potential cyber insurance professional. There were many useful topics that were covered in the presentation such as an overview of risk management, cyber insurance marketplace, underwriting process, key cyber trends, cyber insurance supply chain management. I have specifically never taken a risk management course, and did not know much about cybersecurity but I wanted to know about cybersecurity, so this was a great learning experience for me, as I learned not only about cybersecurity but about the basics of risk management and how it related to cybersecurity. My biggest takeaway was on how to improve nation’s cybersecurity. We learnt about the six was to improve nation’s cybersecurity in an executive order.
