Member Consultant
As a Member Consultant with Philly Member, I was helping the organization achieve their overall goal, to help people support local. My tasks included community research and outreach, mostly through various neighborhood Facebook Groups, local blogs, and community newsletters. I then compiled this information in curated guides that were released on the Philly Member website and social platforms. Throughout this experience, I learned many interpersonal skills as well as technical skills, such as WordPress and SEO. The knowledge I obtained in my MIS 2101 course regarding Google Analytics was very beneficial in assisting me in this role, as the organization was interested in analyzing their community and site outreach in order to monetize the content. Being a part of Philly Member not only expanded my technical skills, but it allowed me to learn more about the Philadelphia community and the small business that make that community thrive.
