Company Visit At Epic Systems
- Name of sponsoring organization – Epic Systems
- Details of the activity – Epic Systems, my future employer, flew me out to its headquarters in Verona, WI to visit the company campus and introduce me to the team I’ll be working on once I start my position as a Client Systems Engineer in August. I spent the day at Epic and then met an Epic employee for dinner on Friday, March 24, 2023.
- What you learned – I learned who I will be working with on a daily basis, what my day to day responsibilities will be, and what the company culture is like. I got to indicate that I am interested in working in 3rd party integration for clients who host their data with Epic. I also learned more about Verona, WI (where Epic is located) and Madison, WI (a neighboring city).
- How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals – This relates to my career goals because it was an opportunity to see my future place of work in person for the first time and bond with the team I will be a part of.
