Planning a Career in User Experience

This course was a summary of the basic terms, requirements, and options in UX design.

We started by talking briefly about what UX is, and what working in UX requires and can look like.

The course then touched on the types of design UX designers are responsible for, such as interaction, visual, and service.

How to research users and careers in UX strategy were briefly touched after this.

The course then spend a lot of time giving advice for a UX career. Such as what type of job you desire: company, consulting, freelancing. Whether to work remote or in person. How to build a resume tailored for UX designers. And various soft skills and habits to set you apart from the crowd.

This course gave me information about a career in UX, which is something I may be interested in pursuing. It was informative, and helped clarify my career goals.
