Technology Risk Consultant Intern
Over the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to work as a Technology Risk Consultant at RSM US LLP. In the role, I analyzed technical risks, documented workpapers, and tested IT General Controls for 4 clients. I also had the role of procuring document request lists for multiple clients by leveraging documentation from prior engagements. A few projects were:
- Evaluating a company’s agile product development process, where RSM had the chance to aid the client in optimizing their agile process.
- Collaborating with team members to automate user access review testing, which helped to improve control testing efficiency and accuracy in a development environment.
Following the internship, I have learned how to collaborate effectively with team members, understand client needs, and effectively assist clients in securing and optimizing their technological system infrastructure. This internship experience was extremely helpful in learning the number of opportunities within the job field, specifically how to evaluate if a company’s technological controls are up to standard.
