Centro – Webinar Miniseries – State of Education
The sponsoring organization for this webinar was Centro Institute. This webinar occurred on a GoToWebinar online meeting on Thursday, May 7th, 2020 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. The effects of the coronavirus on learning in educational institutions like colleges was discussed in this webinar. A few ideas that I learned was that one of the impacts of COVID-19 on universities was margin compression. I also learned that some colleges are more flexible in their admission requirements because of the pandemic. The field of learning was impacted in that learning will be digitized and eLearning requires discipline. A post-pandemic predictions for the state of education was a widened digital divide. This activity relates to my coursework in that the webinar was on the PRO points calendar on the Temple MIS PRO points site. It relates in that I am a Management Information Systems major.
