  1. If you are faced with an ethical dilemma, what should you be especially cautious of when considering who is affected?
  2. What is the definition of Big Data? Find some examples of this online and understand when it could be used.
  3. What is a Direct Inquiry in the context of Big Data? Can you think of examples in your life where companies have used Direct Inquiries on you?
  4. Indirect Tracking is another kind of Big Data Collection. Think of some methods, both online and physically, that companies can use this method.
  5. The textbook lists Five Dimensions of Ethical Behavior in the Digital Age. What is the first dimension, and can you find real life examples of this?
  6. What is the third dimension? Can you find real life examples of this?
  7. What is remote desktop software? What are some ethical issues with this?

  1. What is a hash in blockchain, and how does it maintain security?
  2. Blockchain technology uses packet-switching. Give a description of the concept of packet-switching.
  3. Does cryptocurrency, and therefore blockchain, rely on a central authority to operate?
  4. In blockchain, what is the relationship between a miner and a nonce?
  5. An attribute of a public blockchain is that it is permissionless. What does it mean for something to be permissionless?
  6. Cryptocurrency comes with many risks. Name a risk of hacking associated with cryptocurrency.
  7. Are most cryptocurrencies a volatile or stable investment? Why?
  8. Some cryptocurrency, like Bitcoin, are considered to be a store-of-value asset. What does this mean?

  5. What two things does Deep Learning use to create its own learning process?
  6. What is the Turing Test and what is its purpose?
  7. Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is a hypothetical type of AI that has not been made yet. What would AGIs be designed to do?
  8. Since humans make AI systems, we can accidentally give it our own assumptions and prejudices, a.k.a our biases. From this, what is AI Bias?
  9. How might Data Governance be used in AI implementation?
  10. When it comes to training itself or real-life business uses, will AI systems analyze large or small data sets? Can you think of a reason why?
