HOBY Social Media Director Internship
In April of 2014, I had the pleasure of taking on the role of Social Media Director. This meant that all types of social media I actively use in my own life could be used to help promote HOBY PA-East. Facebook, Twitter, and even the webpage would be under my watch. I have thoroughly enjoyed this position and hope to make it even better.
I have helped develop the website more by adding links for donating to this awesome volunteer organization, and getting to know a bit about our members. I plan on completely overhauling the website in the summer of 2014 to make this the main hub for social media interaction, news, and upcoming events for HOBY PA-East. Along with the help of a fellow volunteer, we plan to make this site the central portal for showing why this organization has had such success for 20 years. The website will include a new video of testimonials I am currently working on with a videographer who volunteers with the team, and the ability to contact corporate board members through the website via e-mail or other social media sources. I also plan to use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and HootSuite to help analyze the number of unique visitors to the website between now and the complete overhaul of the website.
