ITACS Webinar: Career paths for IT Auditors

  1. ITACS Webinar: Career paths for IT Auditors
  2. Spring 2020
  3. Chubb
  4. Webinar. March 19th, 2020.
  5. I learned most of the technical skills that IT Auditors need are learned on the job. The most important soft skill for IT Auditors is adaptability. The software, applications, and systems may change job to job, so it\\\\\\\’s critical to adapt quickly. In addition, communication is another important soft skill for IT Auditors, as the job inherently requires cooperation across the company. On another note, I learned the main difference between IT security and cyber security; cyber security deals with aspects like externally facing firewalls and applications, while IT security encompasses the entire system.
  6. The webinar gave a real outlook for people with MIS degrees. It was great to hear the reality of some of these jobs, which may require employees to work 50 to 60 hours a week, depending on the company; it was also good to hear some of the salary ranges for these employees.
