Risk and Financial Advisory Intern
During my 8-week internship at Deloitte as a risk and financial advisory intern, I was put into new settings that not only added to my professional experience but my personal ones as well. I was primarily in charge of testing automated and access management controls for Fortune 500 clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements within their IT environments. I also collaborated with my engagement teams to identify key IT risks and significant inaccuracies in client IT environments, and I engaged in system walkthroughs with clients to collect relevant evidence, building confidence in the effectiveness of their ITGC controls. I was also able to connect with professionals both in and outside of my department to not only gain more knowledge about the job and all that it entails, but also to develop personal connections with many of my coworkers that were the highlight of my experience this summer.
