Hobbies & Interests
TRAVELING.
After traveling to China with the People to People Student Ambassador Organization, I found that traveling was a passion of mine. I enjoy learning about other cultures, speaking another languages and trying new foods. Thus far I have only traveled through parts of Asia and Europe, but one of my life goals is to travel to every continent. I would also love to see each of the Seven Wonders of the World. I studied abroad in Rome, Italy in the Fall 2012 semester at the Temple University campus. I found that studying abroad is an exceptional experience that encourages students to get outside their comfort zones, learn a new language or culture, and more importantly discover yourself. In my seemingly short semester abroad, I learned about Italian culture, art, and history. I traveled to London, Brussels, Dublin, Amsterdam, Milan, Munich, Venice, Florence, and throughout Italy. I made a blog. I learned about my heritage. I took a full load of courses. I met government officials. There are so, so many great opportunities that I was fortunate enough to experience while abroad. Traveling is not just sightseeing, it’s seeing the world! In the future, I look forward to the many amazing international experiences that come my way – whether to work, study or volunteer.
FIELD HOCKEY.
Throughout middle school and high school I played field hockey for the Pittston Area School District. If I had more time, I think I would have tried out for the Temple University Field Hockey team, but I decided to focus more on my studies and professional development. I enjoy watching the Temple team play and maybe one day I will join a club team.
COOKING.
Since I was young, I have always enjoyed cooking dinner with my parents and I believe that’s why I enjoy cooking today. I think if I ever had the extra time or money I would like to go culinary school, open my own restaurant, or take cooking classes. If you have any recipes you would like to share, please feel free because I love trying new things!
